Crowds Drawn to the Award-Winning Restaurant

“We wanted to do something different and better with Ammolite, but nobody predicted that we’d be awarded two Michelin stars within two years. The first star we received shortly after opening was already a fantastic achievement – it made us the first theme park in the world with a Michelin star,” says Europa-Park Managing Director Thomas Mack.

Top chef Peter Hagen and his team have made the fine-dining restaurant “Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant” in the hotel “Bell Rock” into a real gourmet destination. “My philosophy: the food should speak for itself,” says Hagen. To begin with, the restaurant was mainly visited by hotel guests, but now around 50 per cent of bookings at the award-winning restaurant are from external guests – the restaurant is also open to members of the public who are not staying at Europa-Park.
