Delicate, as if they were blown with the wind and wrapped in gowns, the light and airy structures, which Aurelia Waßer creates, rise into the sky. I just recently discovered this young artist and I am fascinated, because she creates floating light beings. In her works, she uses glass in a concealed way, just like a backbone. In a time-consuming process, Waßer surrounds it with ultra-thin, handmade Nepal paper. Since 2012, she has been creating these, sometimes larger-than-life structures. Picture and sculpture thus become a unit.
